Twice a year the bridal industry converges on NYC to see the lastest in bridal fashions.  The designer show in several location across NYC.  I have to admit it is one of the most exciting times of the year.  We get to see all of the fabulous wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, wedding shoes, bridal jewelry and more that will be hitting the store later in the year.

I'll have to admit I don't think I have seen quite the collection of shoe designers at th NYC Bridal Market.  Yes, yes, the gowns are normally the center of attraction but for me, the shoe obsessed, it was all about the shoes.  No matter what your style there is definitely a shoe for you, actually there are so many amazing shoes coming this year, I don't know how a bride could possibly decide on just one!

 

 

One of my favorite new lines is Blue By Betsey Johnson.   

 As expected her styles range for avant garde to femine and practical.

 

                        

 

 I love everything about this line.  First of the name Blue, secondly she name all the styles names pertaining to weddings such as Gown Bridal Shoes, Vow Bridal Shoes and Veil Bridal Shoes.  Three of my favs are shown above. Top Elope Bridal Shoe, Ring Bridal Shoes and the Amazing Crystal covered Wish.  What bride wouldn't Wish to wear these stunning shoes down the aisle?

 

If Glitz isn't your style, maybe something a bit mor romantic yet unique. This lace bridal boot from Blue by Betsey Johnson is a winner.

 

 

 

 I was really impressed with the collection on Menbur.  They had an amazing collection of bridal shoes, as well as bridesmaids and special occasions.

 

 

 

Menbur shoes have beautiful beading detail on the bridal shoes and matching bridal handbag.

 

 From sky high platforms to  lady like stilhouettes to ballet flats the choices in bridal shoes is great that ever.  I have to admit one of my favorite parts of my job is getting to see all the amazing new styles months before they hit the stores! It's like a kid in a candy store! Does it get any better than this?

 

 

 

 

I have to say as much as things change they stay the same.  One of the Big Trends in Bridal for

2013 is Bows!  Bows have always been one of my favorites. If you asked me they never went out

of style. However they are now showing up everywhere from dresses to hair accessories to cakes

 and more. What better way to add a touch of femininity than bows.

 

 

 

I love the delicate jewelry this season that has whimsical bows encursted with crystal.  They

 are a nice subtle way to add bows.  Many designers are finishing off their dresses with either

bows on the front sash or making a statement with a stunning bow on the back of the gown. 

 

 

If you are using bows as your theme for your wedding then by all means carry the bow them

over to your wedding cake.  There are so many fabulous bow cakes.  They are truly a work

of art!

 

 

If you are as crazy about shoes as I am than I'm sure you couldn't help but notice all the shoes

with bows.  How is a girl to decide which bow is right for her?  If you dress has a light feeling

opt for a bridal shoe with light soft bow possibly made of tulle.  If you dress is a bit contemporary

 and tailored go with a shoe with a tailored bow maybe with a few crystals.

 

The choices are endless when it comes  finding the perfect bow. Remember the beau on your wedding day is forever yours.
